ICEGATE (Indian Customs EDI Gateway) is an e-commerce portal of the Indian Customs which offers a variety of services to importers and exporters, including:
- E-filing of Bills of Entry (Import Goods Declaration);
- Shipping Bills (Export Goods Declaration);
- EDI between Customs and its Trade Partners for IGM, EGM, Customs Duty Payment and Drawback Disbursal through electronic messages;
- Compliance Information Portal (CIP) to calculate applicable custom duty on goods imported or exported;
- Single Window for lodging clearance documents online;
- Customs Service Centres to provide data entry, printing, and other services related to ICEGATE.
The documents required for e-filing of Bills of Entry and Shipping Bills through ICEGATE vary depending on the goods being imported or exported, but the following are some of the most common documents:
- Commercial invoice;
- Packing list;
- Bill of lading;
- Certificate of origin;
- Import permit or license (if required);
- Insurance certificate (if required);
- Other documents as required by the Customs department.

Here are some of the modes of e-submission of documents through ICEGATE:

- SMTP: This option is available for members of the trade who want to file their documents through email. You will need to create the appropriate electronic message and send it to the ICEGATE SMTP server.
- USB Drive: You can also submit your documents through a USB drive. You will need to format the USB drive in FAT32 and then copy the electronic messages to the drive.

Aadhaar card
GSTIN number
DSC means Digital Signature Class-3
